This pan is great! It's perfect if you have more than one cat (extra large pan) and it keeps it all in! One of my cats kept urinating inside the open litter pan I had, but most of the urine would splatter on the wall by the pan. With this enclosed system, I don't have that problem anymore. This same pan costs $10 more at the pet store! It's a great product at a very reasonable price at Target! I did remove the little door-opening to the pan, as both my cats were very scared of it.

I recently adopted a new kitten, but the smell was too much for me. Too much that I was thinking on getting rid of my new kitten. I had tried different kinds of kitty litter, large amounts of arm and hammer, and so many air fresheners. It just made my house smell worse. But that changed when I went to target and found the VAN NESS. There is NO SMELL at all. It has a filter to reduce smell, and a lid that is easy to take on and off to make it easy to clean. The handle on top also makes it easy to move without make a big mess or haveing to touch the bottom of the pan. Its a little big for my little kitten but he'll grow into it. I think it would be great for more than one cat. The only thing is that my kitten is still to small to push in the door in front so i took it off, but i'm planning to put it back on as soon as he gets a little stonger.

I didn't get it at Target, I got mine few years ago somewhere else (don't remember where or the price).
Keep in mind, these come in different sizes, so it all depends at how big your cat is. I went safe and got the biggest one.

I agree with everything in the previous review.

But, I have a note about the door. Yes, my cat got initially scared of the door, so I removed it for couple weeks. After he got comfy using it, I put the door back, and he uses it fine now. (He even sticks his head outside while he is going, haha.)
The door definitely helps with the odor. I have two cats, I clean it only twice a week, and it's next to my couch. (Again, I have the biggest one of those, hard to tell if this is the one, but if you can imagine a 14 lbs cat fitting inside, that's the one.)
